What is APV?
APV stands for Arbejdspladsvurdering (Workplace Assessment). It is a mandatory assessment of the physical and psychological work environment at the workplace. All companies with at least 1 employee must have a written APV.

The APV requirement is based on the Working Environment Act (Arbejdsmiljøloven) §15a and Executive Order no. 65/2024. The APV must cover both the physical and psychological work environment.
Who needs an APV?
All companies with at least 1 employee must have an APV. There are no exceptions based on industry or company size.
groups Who is covered?
The APV covers full-time employees, part-time employees, temporary workers, agency workers, and remote workers. The only exception is work performed by family members in the employer's household.
Consequences of missing APV

The APV Process (4 Phases)
The APV must be carried out in four mandatory phases.

Update Frequency
The APV must be updated in the following situations:
- At least every 3 years
- When changes occur in work, methods, or processes
- When introducing new technology, reorganisation, relocation, or new chemicals
